Words of Wisdom from the Salaf

إنْ ظُلِمْتُمْ لَمْ تَظْلِمُواْ
وَ إنْ مُدِحْتُمْ لَمْ تَفْرَحُواْ
وَ إنْ ذُمِمْتُمْ لَمْ تَجْزَعُواْ
وَ إنْ كُذِّبْتُمْ لَمْ تَغْضَبُواْ
وَ إنْ خَانُوكُمْ فَلاَ تَخُونُواْ

If you are oppressed don’t oppress others,
If you are praised do not rejoice,
If you are humiliated don’t become annoyed,
If you are not believed in do not become angry,
If you are betrayed do not betray others.
